Dad's Birthday

(The last time we ever went to Red Canyon with Dad '07)

My dad turned 53 on Aug. 16 this year, and so for his birthday we all went to his favorite place..... Red Canyon Lodge, for dinner. Mom brought dad's favorite cake, (chocolate with white frosting) and a balloon for each of us to send to heaven....the kids absolutely love to send balloons to Papa! There is not a day that goes by that we don't miss him terribly, and either laugh or cry when we talk about him! He definitely left a huge hole in our family that will never be filled...... We love and miss you so much Dad, life will never be the same without you here with us!

Memorial Day......

So this is my dad's headstone, it has been a long, and very stressful two year process for my mom to get it here, but it was worth it, It is absolutely beautiful. She put so much time stress and thought into designing it just right for him, and she did an amazing job! I am sure Dad is so proud of her and of it!

I turned around and Asht was sitting there looking at "Papa's" picture. I would give a million dollars to know what was going through his little head at that moment.

Mom loves this statue, the bird in flight is my dad, and the other one is her!

Gray loved the flag Nama brought with her!

Lately at our house......

I haven't updated for awhile so I thought I would post some of the things we have been up to recently! Ashton has started t-ball..... so stinking cute! He absolutely loves it, and takes it very seriously! When a ball is hit, (it doesn't matter where on the field the ball goes) he is right there to try and get it! I can just imagine my dad cheering " Go A.B. Go" he always said he couldn't wait to teach Asht how to play, I wish he so badly he was here to do just that!

Ali decided that she is no longer going to wear shorts unless I let her shave her legs, so since I just bought all of her summer clothes, and I am sick of listening her beg...... we shaved her legs tonight for the first time! Tiff and Nama came over for the big event! We had fun teaching her how to shave, and she loved how soft her legs felt! My baby girl is growing up way to fast! ( I am holding strong on her not piercing her ears for a few more years!)

Alison's Birthday!

Ali had her 9th birthday today! She invited all of her cute little friends over for a party after school. She opened her presents and we all ate cake and ice cream, then they all had fun just playing together! He daddy got her red roses, and I am taking her on a girls trip this weekend(all she wanted from morg and I was to go to the Grand over night)I absolutely love having a little girl, I truly don't know what I would do without her.... we have so much fun together! I love listening to her sing at the top of her lungs when we are driving in the car...she has the prettiest little voice! She loves to play spa, baby dolls, barbies, and pretend with Ashton! It feels like yesterday when we met our Sweet baby girl for the first time, I will never forget how tiny and beautiful she was. Its crazy how fast time really does fly bye! Happy Birthday Boo! We love you so much!

Santa Cruz Half Marathon, April 11, 2010

Sugar Daddy's were one of my dad's favorite candies so when we found this we had to get a pic of mom with it!

Tiff puking her guts out just 10 min before our race!!

The Start line

The Finish Line!

Mom is so cute, she waited in the wind and rain just to get a pic of us as we were finishing the race! She was so wet and frozen....Thanks Mom!!

She had so much sand on her little feet she had to just go bare foot cause they were getting rubbed raw!

Part of the coast we ran along.

According to mom this is all I did the entire trip! ha ha

All along the highway was just beautiful rolling green hills and fields of strawberries.

Mom was the lucky one to get searched!

Tiff had this idea about three months ago to run a half marathon in Santa Cruz, CA. So we invited Mom to go with us ( Amber couldn't go because of little Nixon, and we missed her tons, it wasn't the same without the full ring of fire!) and we had so much fun there. It rained the entire time, and was colder than Utah, but we made the most of it! We loved the farmers markets, the strawberries and tangerines were so yummy, we ate an entire crate of them while we were there! We stayed at the Intercontinental on Cannery Row. We had fun shopping at all of the little shops around there and ate at a restaurant called the Fish Hopper that had the best clam chowder ever! We went to the Aquarium which made us miss the kids, they would have loved it so much! Tiff ended up in the Er until 1:30 in the morning the night before the race, and then she threw up the entire way to the race...I felt so bad for her. Don't ask me how she did it but she went out there and busted out 13.1 miles like it was nothing!! The race was so amazing....the route we ran was beautiful, I wish I could have ran with a camera to take pics of all of it! I am so glad that Tiff motivated me to do this, I had so much fun and got to go somewhere that I probably would never have went if we hadn't signed up! I am addicted now and can't wait to run another one.... Thanks for going with us Mom and being our little support team!
