Kona 2011

The cake "before" Nama dropped it on her foot!

The cake "after" Nama dropped it!!

Because Tiff would have been too close to her due date to go to Kona for Thanksgiving this year, we went on November 1st instead. We got to celebrate Danny, Ramsey, and Nama's Birthdays while we were there! We had so much fun snorkeling, sight seeing, shopping at the farmers markets, and playing at the beaches! The kids loved paddle boarding, playing in the ocean, burying each other in the sand, catching waves on their tubes, and getting to see all of the beautiful fish and turtles! We are so lucky to be able to go on these fun vacations together! Thanks Mom for the amazing trip.

Making donuts with Mammy 2011

Every year we have a tradition of making donuts and sugar cookies with Mammy. The tradition started with Mimi she always made popcorn balls and donuts for everyone on Halloween. The kids love to decorate their cookies and eat donuts! I love all of our little traditions, and that they are being passed down to my kids!

Papa's 54th Birthday (Aug.16th 1957)

This year Papa would have turned 54. We have a tradition of going to Red Canyon Lodge on Dads Birthday every year. First we go to the cemetery and write on balloons, then we all head to Red Canyon and eat and have dads favorite cake, Chocolate with vanilla frosting! I can't believe this year has been the 3rd year without dad. I miss him every single day. Every time the kids do something cute, have a recital, or a soccer, or baseball game, I still find myself wanting to pick up my phone and call him. I can't believe that my kids are going to grow up not knowing their Papa and what an amazing man he was. We all yearn for him to be here with us so much, his death left such a huge hole in our family that will never be filled. We can't wait until we will be together again as a family! We love and miss you so much, Happy Birthday in Heaven Papa!
