I feel so blessed that Papa Bob is here for my kids to do some of the things I know my Dad would be doing with them if he were here. Whenever he is with the boys he is teaching them how to play sports, fish, hunt, and telling them stories about Papa buddy when he was little and the things they did together! So after one of his stories about teaching my dad to cat fish Ashton was dead set on learning how, We loaded up and headed to Rangely so Grandpa could take him! Ali and Gray stayed at the house with Grandma and colored and played with her puzzles! ( Ali loves to look at all of Grandmas pretty dolls) Morgan, Grandpa, Ashton, and I headed down to the river, at first when Grandpa got the chicken livers out Ashton wasn't to sure about the situation, but before long he was elbow deep in liver goop and having a blast, after about an hour of fishing and catching everything but catfish ( Morg even caught the power line) I decided to give it a try and yes I caught the only Catfish of the day! Ashton reeled it in and was horrified of how ugly they are, at first he just wanted to throw it back in but then he decided he wanted to eat it, so Grandpa showed him how to gut and fillet it and Grandma cooked it up for us! I am so glad I have these priceless pictures of that day!

Road Trip
Mesa Verde
We decided to take the kids to Mesa Verde, Silverton, Ouray, Four Corners and The Hole in The Rock. So the day that school got out for summer vacation we hooked on to our trailer and headed out! We had so much fun! We found little trailer parks to park our trailer at along the way. We spent a couple of days in each place. I hadn't been back to any of these places since Dad had taken us when we were little girls. I love being able to carry on the little traditions that I remember doing with Mom and Dad when I was little with my kids!
